never service your car by this dealer

I brought my car in perfect driving conditions for a routine 50K maintenance and was charged $1,660 for that. The car was in shop only for 5.5 hours but they charged $800 for labor. That means that at least two mechanics worked on the car all this time. It’s hard to believe. They included numerous inspections which were “replacements” anyway, e.g. they claimed that the inspected conditions of front brakes, rear brakes, engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, air filter, fuel filter, coolant, etc. But all these items had to be replaced per 50k miles maintenance schedule or per my request anyway. So they inspected engine oil before it was replaced? If you disregard all these bogus duplicate inspections they claimed they did then they charged $500 for just an oil change, fuel/air filters, cooling system flush and fuel injection cleaning. I could have it all done for less than $250 at any local quick lube place. They charged $900 for all rotors replaced because –presumably- they were rusted and couldn’t be cut. Rear rotors are normally barely used, they even did not replace rear pads, so how it can’t be cut? So…only 5 years/50K mostly highway miles rotors should be thrown away now. I’ve never heard of anything like this, unless someone drives a taxi in NYC. What kind a car quality is it? I had once 1988 Olds w/175K miles on it and never had to replace its rotors. All these things are hard to believe. Though I authorized all charges over the phone I strongly feel that I was outrageously overcharged. I would never let it happen if I was given an opportunity to review a detailed breakdown before and not after the work was done.
