Terrible Service! Stay away!

The service was absolutely terrible. I arrived at 6:30 AM to drop off my car early. Although they claimed to open at 7:00, no door opened until 7:15. I needed to get the catalytic converter replaced and fix a squeaky noise. 7 days and 2800 dollars later, they returned my car. The receipt said "technician checked car and heard no squeak" but there was clearly a squeak. Also the car sounded like the muffler fell off. So I dropped it off again. This time the salesperson tried to convince me that I needed to spend an additon $1500 dollars to fix the squeak. I called my normal mechanic and he fixed the squeak for about $150. A few weeks later, I grew more concerned about the sound of my engine so I brought it back to my normal mechanic (because I knew that Cox would not honor the agreement). He suspected that the catalytic converter was not installed correctly. I took it back to Cox. They gave me the runaround and said the catalytic converter was ok but that I needed to fix something else for an additional $960. I told them not to touch my car. I suspected it was a muffler problem because of the noise my engine was making so I took it to Meineke. This mechanic also indicated that the catalytic converter was installed incorrectly--luckily he fixed it for free. According to what he said, the "certified technicians" put the screws in the wrong holes so that the piece was "screwed into nothing." Thus it was leaking, making the engine sound deeper than usual. Final thoughts: Even if you are willing to pay the outrageous prices that Cox charges, they are too incompetent to even fix your car AND they won't honor their warranty.
