As a fellow employee I would like to apologize if there was any fault with us in anyway. Just to advise you and any other readers, that the employee stephen is no longer with us. Service is closed on saturdays. He could have just taken a message or you could leave voice mail as well as an option and we would call you back on monday. The dealership did apologize about the air being on. We do compl wash & vac could have gotten turned on by accident while wiping interior. Offered to remove scratches--she declined & fuss entire time. We are all human not robots...nothing we did was good enough.

Service Dept. is the Pitts

The service dept at Charles Barker Lexus is the pitts. I will drive to Va. Beach to have my Lexus serviced. The staff is not only rude but incompetent. Yesterday my son who was home from Iraq for 2 weeks took his IS300 for an inspection. Nothing was wrong with the car. They told him he needed a parking light so he said go ahead and replace it. They put an inspection sticker on his car statine that his car passed the inspection. As he drove back to Ft Bragg from Newport News he noticed that he only had one headlight. His 8 year old son was in the car with him. How did they pass his car with no headlight and why did he not have a headlight after taking the car in for an inspection? Several days befor that fiasco I called for an appointment for my gs300. I was placed on hold so long that I hung up and called again. The same guy, Steve answered the telephone and began to complain about how busy they were and that it was a weekend. I stated that I didn't want to bring my car in during the weekend but was just trying to make an appointment for a later date. He claimed that there was no one there who could make the appointment for me. I hung up the telephone and called the Virginia Beach Service dept and was immediately given an appointment. Why do I have to drive all the way to Virginia Beach to get my car serviced when I live less than four miles away from the one in Newport News? Every time I have taken my car to the Newport News service dept there has been a problem. One July I took my car in and they returned it to me with the heat running and both seat heaters on and scratches on the top of my car. They became very defensive when I complained about it. I had to take it to Va. Beach for them to buff the scratches out. The Newport News Charles Barker Service Department is incompetant, rude and whatever else you want to think of. Now my son is in N.C. with a car with no headlight and is preparing to return to Iraq. Thank you Charles Barker.

Ghetto Lexus Dealership

I have been dealing with this service dept for two years. I have never been satisfied with the service. I will drive to Va. Beach before I deal with them again. They are rude and the service is not what I expect from a Lexus dealership. I was happy when they build the dealership on this side of the James River. My advice is don't waste your time. They act like they are the Hyundai dealers. They don't care about customer service or customer satisfaction. I was put on hold when trying to make an appointment until I finally hung up. I called back and got the same guy who angrily told me that they were busy and that the person who made the appointments for service was not there. I hung up the phone and they called me back but I refused to answer. I called the va. beach service dept and was given a service appt. Do not waste your time in NN. They have not gotten it right yet. I took my car there in the summer. They returned it with the heater on and the seat heaters on as well. They put scratches on the top of my car where they sat their tools and then denied everything when I complained. Poor, Poor, service.
